AMBER ALERT GPS 2 REVIEW

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

AMBER ALERT GPS 2The Amber Alert GPS 2 might be the best child locator device we have ever reviewed here at Spy Parent. This new tracking device was released this week. The Amber Alert GPS can be worn on your child’s belt, wrist, ankle, purse, or placed in a book bag. The device allows parents to set up a safe zone around their child. Once the child leaves the zone, the device alerts the parent’s cell phone. The device has a destination alert feature that notifies parents when their child reaches their destination. What set this device apart from its competitors is the SOS feature. If a child is in an emergency, then they can press the SOS button and immediately send  an emergency text to the parent. Additionally, the voice monitoring feature that is associated with the SOS button allows a parent to listen in on their child’s conversation. For instance, if your child has to go to the principal office you can listen in on the conversation from the device.

Here is a description of the product from the manufacture:

The downside of the Amber Alert GPS is it 300 dollar price tag that does not include the monthly monitoring plan that runs from 10-50 dollars a month. Although it is a steep price tag, this device is worth it. Spy Parent LLC is currently in talks with the manufacture to bring the device to the website.

IP cameras are now being used by parents to monitor children at home. Parents have the ability to monitor their children through the use of a laptop or a cell phone with an internet browser. IP cameras utilize network connections within a home to transfer images. Unlike analog systems that are at your local convenience store, IP cameras are very simple and easy to use. There are no cable or wires that have to be installed. One only needs to mount the cameras and type in the camera’s IP address and begin to view live image.

Child Tracking Devices help Autistic Children

Monday, October 20th, 2008

Parent are starting to turn to child location technology to assist in the supervision of autistic children.  One of the biggest symptoms of Autisim is the lack of verbal communication. Almost 50% of all people with autisim never speak. There have been numerous examples of children wondering off from their parents eyesight leaving that parent in fear.

Child location devices currently come in two varieties: Locators and GPS Trackers. Locators usually consist of a location device being placed on the child’s shoe laces or belt. The parents have a transmitter that the can be placed on their key chain. When the child  is out of the permissible range, then the parent is alerted by the wireless transmitter. GPS trackers are more sophisticated by actually giving parents coordinates of where their child is located.

Spy Parent will be introducing some of the most innovative child locators and GPS trackers on the market. We are currently constructing a page with our new line of products. You can contact S. Lewis at slewis@spyparent.net for more information.
